We are often asked this question.
Obviously there is no "one best way" but we do have a great suggestion.
While many people do have guns for personal protection, studies show that when people are in an alarmed state of mind, their aim isn't too good. So even though you may have a gun, could you really hit a target if your were scared to death? Studies say no.
The best personal protection solution that we've found, considering all the pros and cons, is pepper spray.
But not just any pepper spray...
You see, the pepper spray that they sell for humans to spray human attackers with will typically only spray a distance of 5 feet for 5 seconds and that's not good enough.
You need bear pepper spray.
It typically sprays 30 feet for 30 seconds and if one drop gets into an attacker's nose, eye, or mouth, he'll be fully disabled for about an hour, and in MASSIVE PAIN.
So, do you think you could hit an attacker with something that works like a can of spray paint if you had 30 seconds and for a distance of 30 feet?
Our bet is that you could.

Home invasions are dramatically on the rise everywhere. The FBI says that a home is invaded once every 12 seconds. Burglars mainly just "kick in" doors. They can usually get through your door in less than 1 second with one good well placed kick. It happens most often due to door frame failure. Wood door frames can't hold up to the impact. The Door Security Pro prevents home invasions due to door kick-ins. Easy to install and lasts forever.
